CBRE Hotels Sponsors Inaugral Meditteranean Hotels Resorts Forum 2015, Madrid, Spain

CBRE Hotels is pleased to be sponsoring the inaugural Mediterranean Resort Hotel Real Estate Forum 2015 (MR&H), which takes place in Madrid from the 9th to the 11th of November. The event will bring together key stakeholders from the hospitality and tourism industry to discuss the outlook for both the emerging and mature destinations across the region.

The Mediterranean has been of strategic importance to our client base and has generated strong interest from international funds and Asian investors. The MR&H forum comes at an opportune time to share the challenges and opportunities in this region.

“The Mediterranean continues to be one of the most attractive hotel investment targets as well as a world tourist destination. Investment volumes in Italy reached €135 million in Q2 2015, €47 million above the long-term quarterly average and the Spanish Hotels market, continues to generate interest from an international investor pool, recently reaching €1.6bn, surpassing pre-recession figures.
Jorge Ruiz, Head of CBRE Hotels Spain, commented:

CBRE Hotels has recently been instructed on an exclusive basis by BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management Italy SGR p.A., to dispose of the Tricolore Collection hotel portfolio, comprising three assets located in Milan and Rome. Earlier this year, CBRE Hotels completed the sale of six hotels across Spain on behalf of Melia Hotels.

Owen Pritchard, Head of Development EMEA and Jorge Ruiz, Head of CBRE Hotels Spain will be guest speakers at the forum and will represent CBRE Hotels, a team of over 120 hospitality-specific professionals located in 15 offices across EMEA. Further details on their sessions and the wider programme can be found here.
