CBRE has today announced a senior management change to its German business. Alexander von Erdély will become CEO of CBRE Germany, taking over from Peter Schreppel, who has decided to return to his previous role as Head of International Investment Germany. The change takes effect immediately.

Alexander joined CBRE Germany in 2007. He is a key member of the German Board and has held several senior management roles including head of Building Consultancy and head of Global Corporate Services. Prior to CBRE Alexander worked at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen Real Estate, and has over 20 years’ experience in the real estate sector. I am delighted that Alex has agreed to become CEO of our German business. He is a key member of our EMEA team and has played a pivotal role in improving our client offer and driving business expansion across Germany since he joined CBRE. Our German business had an exceptional year in 2015 and Alex’s broad real estate experience and strong reputation make him ideally suited to sustain our growth in this important market.

“I would also like to thank Peter for all he has achieved as CEO over the last five years during which time the company has more than doubled in size and revenue. Peter is passionate about the work he does with our investor clients and I am very pleased that he will remain with us as Head of International Investment for Germany. His exceptional knowledge and experience in both local and international investment will continue to be of tremendous value to clients across the region.
